It all started with a single idea, then the planning, prep, and deliverable! Tabahani Book Circle brings UNSPEAKABLE, The Tulsa Race Massacre to LIFE! Assault on Illiteracy in full form and fashion at Tom Bradley Global Awareness Magnet School on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Another collaborative initiative with the Bridge Builders Foundation. The students learned about Black Wallstreet and those who simmered and destroyed Greenwood. It is our responsibility to educate our youth about our history!

Today was truly remarkable.
Our partner, the Tabahani Book Circle, organized an engaging session with students from Tom Bradley Elementary School centered around “The Tulsa Massacre.” Each student received a copy of the book “Unspeakable,” and together, they delved into critical themes such as hate, oppression, violence, and intolerance through a lively and interactive discussion.
The young participants came together to build their sense of community, and a simulated fire experience was conducted to help them empathize with the profound loss that can result from mob behavior.
Tabahani Book Circle consistently leads transformative book-to-life presentations, addressing cultural and socio-emotional topics that greatly benefit youth of color. Bridge Builders Foundation is excited to add these dynamic partnerships to support our prescriptive programs serving youth.
