Tabahani Book Circle’s Assault on Illiteracy Initiative was in full swing on Thursday, September 25th. We kicked off the 2025/2026 school year at Tom Bradley Global Awareness Magnet Elementary before twenty-two 3rd graders. We brought to LIFE, Little Leaders/Legends, Ida B. Wells, Thurgood Marshall, Althea Gibson, John Lewis, and Ketanji Brown Jackson. From the Supreme Court to the tennis courts, we were able to educate and provide history to the students in Tabahani style, form, and fashion. The servant leaders, Cathi (lead), Adriene, Brenda, Ruby, and I have already brainstormed on ways to improve this presentation.
We will bring our next presentation, The Vast Wonders of the World to Life, on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Tom Bradley.
