Words matter, it’s a lesson we teach our children everyday!
Tabahani Book Circle had the opportunity to highlight our Assault on Illiteracy Initiative with a visit to Tom Bradley Global Awareness Magnet School, under the leadership of Principal Dr. T. Bunn.
The book, Stacey’s Extraordinary Words by political strategist Stacey Abrams was brought to LIFE with a word search, and word scrambled definition game, with words from the book. We collectively read the book aloud from the beginning to the end. The students had the opportunity to let their creative juices flow by decorating and personalizing a Word Journal. The finishing touch for the morning was each student at their desire, participated in an impromptu Spelling Bee! They correctly spelled many words, while misspelling a few. The atmosphere was full of encouragement, and applause 
for all and a learning environment full of excitement. A great time!
