On February 20, 2021, Tabahani Book Circle celebrated the literary work and life of ERIC JEROME DICKEY in a Virtual Read-In for Black History Month. Thank you to contributing authors Victoria Christopher Murray, Rashonda Tate Billingsley, Michael Datcher, Virginia DeBerry and Donna Grant. Eso Won Books and Etapparel graciously contributed donations (gifts) for our trivia game. Thank you Kris Owens for providing your Zoom technical skills. To our existing Tabahani friends and those of you we met for the first time, thank you for sharing this special time with us; we appreciate you. May Eric’s contribution to the written word live on.
I was so impressed by the level of professionalism, planning and intentional research that went into the financial literacy presentation. I learned so much, from the basics of budgeting and asset accumulation, to the importance of diversifying our streams of revenue in order to build wealth. I now have concrete steps to take around improving my credit score and investing in real estate. I feel motivated and empowered by these knowledgeable Black men, and I’m so grateful they’re providing this invaluable information to our communities.
